ModeratorIst call of six this morning was to a Hotpoint washing machine. She also mentioned a fault on a built in Indesit dishwasher. Sadly she didn’t mention this on the phone so I didn’t have any time to have a proper look at it.
Model DI450. 3rd light ( A02 ) flashing. Now according to our ‘in house’ fault code guides this is basically a heater fault.
Heating system failure – the dishwasher does not heat the water
•Check water heating element
•Check thermostats or thermistors
•Check wiring
•Check pressure sensor
•Check safety thermostat
•Check heater relay on control boardHowever in the actual DI450 manual it has this.
Light 3..A02. Solenoid valve letting by.
Inlet valve, connections, heater open circuit,
heater Earth fault, inlet valve letting by.WTF does letting by mean????
It is definitely not filling when off. 😕
Jim.

letting by is exactly that jim. allowing water into the machine without the valve being energised. 😕

I don’t know about irony but Turkey fat has something to do with it.

Apparently she said it was fine until she accidentally spilled Turkey fat over the controls. :eeek:
All will be revealed, her husband will have to drag it out, he did the install and its a woeful job. :rolls:
Watch this space. 😀
