Hi I have a Bosch in for a bearing change and the tub is held together with about 6 screws and about 30 plastic wedge clips , is there a better way to undo these clips that prising with a screwdriver as I have broken two already and have not released any :rolls:

    Cheers Alan

To split this tub you need to cut off the clips and then screw it back together. If I remember right when you order a new seal you get the extra screws with it.

I think officially you are supposed to change the tub half, however someone on here bangs on about using a few sets of steak knives!

That’s Mike Mark and he’s happy with that method. But Bazza is spot on, cut off the tabs with side cutters and you’re all set 😉

    Hi

If you order the correct bearing kit it comes with instructions and shows the use of side cutters/snips to cut tabs.

I find it is easy to cut them off with a dremell and with no risk of any damage.
