It sounds like a straight forward flooded base to me. So, leaking circulating pump, impellor jug, knife fork or spoon caught under the float or leaky heater?

had a chat with the customer , he sayes no water in base and he ran it empty so nothing stuck in float safety switch , too much water coming in ? activating the float inside ?

No, no! I refer NOT to the bottom of the tub but the baseplate (I.e. flood safety switch activated)…that’s your problem….go for it!

That’s odd then, how come? This is a plastic tub model with removable bottom plate. :con:

yeah he said there were half panels on each side one torx front and back and it was off , dry base , i dunno what else it could be only that it takes too much water , and the level inside the tub is too high ? . if it did would the switch inside activate ? he sayes it looks like a mushroom , but when the level goes back down would the switch not reset to normal position and stop pumping out? i dunno i guess i’ll just drive up there

Your customer sounds like a right DIY bodger so don’t be too surprised at what you find when you get there. All the ruddy panels off indeed, and all that messin’ with mushrooms, makes for a fun visitation I shouldn’t wonder. 😀

replaced the jug impeller as it was taking for ever to fill, now wont heat water no power going to the element , board fault i suspect !!

Taking forever to fill is a major issue here TBH. It has to fill in a reasonable period (i.e less that 2 mins) for the PCB to compute its next move. So at this point I don’t suspect the PCB. So, is there a water pressure problem there?

No heat is easy to resolve…..either the element is o/circuit, or the flow micro switch on the heater box hasn’t activated due to low flow water pressure or the PCB is at fault. (As a rule it’s just a solder job on the PCB relay contact that’ll sort that anyway)

    HTH?
