    COD 215005350.20

    This is a new problem on me, anyone else seen or heard of it ?

    Put it on any cycle or spin, turn on, door lock clicks……… thats it nothing else

    Turn timer round to reset and turn on, LED does it flashy re-set dance as usual so the Panel is trying to work.

    All the symptoms of a faulty Door lock, I hear you cry. my thoughts exactly. Door lock swapped. same thing.

    I know it’s probably the PCB but before I send it off has anyone got any thoughts on it ???

    check motor brushes (most likely, I know it sounds odd) before doing anything else. If not try for an open circuit pump (less likely but not unkown)

    Check the wires going in to the heater element for broken crimps. I’ve had this a few times and it has turned out to be a broken black wire going to the element.

    On some Hotpoint’s now, if the motor is open circuit the machine “won’t fill or operate”. I don’t know if any Indesits are similarly affected though.

    Yep, sure are :tup: as with any modern electronic controlled machine, if the complete circuit is ‘interrupted’ then nothing works. What normally happens is that on first setting the programme there is a slight but noticeable ‘delay’ before it bursts into life. That is simply the EPROM circuitry checking all its dependant components prior to start-up 😯

    Try it for yourself next time on a perfectly (albiet rare) servicable Indesit, just disconnect the Motor Plug and switch back on…..I guarantee you will find it DEAD!!! 8)

    Bl**dy electronic nightmare really, don’t talk to me about Error codes either, that’s another headache, but somehow we have to make a living from this lot of modern wizardary :haier:

    By extrapolation, the machine is actually helping us by telling you that there is a fault prior to filling etc. Makes a bit of sense to me….. Much more sensible than trying to drag out a machine full of water and soggy washing!

    check for a broken wire esp around motor and ellement
