    Please can anyone help me?

I have a Lamona HJA 8630 Dishwasher which stops before emptying. The bleeper sounds as though the program has finished but the water has not drained.

I can then drain the water by swithing off, holding down the keys and switching back on so I don’t think its the pump. I’ve cleaned the filters but atill have the problem.

    That’s an odd fault.

The dishwasher is actually a Beko made machine and I can’t fathom any reason for it doing that from a quick look but maybe one of the guys will have seen this behaviour before.

Is the water heating though as, on those dishwashers the heating element is a fairly common failure and it’s this one:

Yes the water is heating as normal. The plates are steaming when you open the door but the hot water is still in the bottom of the machine.

Pump could be faulty i’ve had to change a few for this problem, assuming you have checked the filters it is more likely though to be a blockage in the drain hose or the pipework its going into.
If you put drain hose into basin/bucket etc, run it that way & see if it drains correctly.

Thanks Seamy – my husband finally got round to removing the plinths etc to get the dishwasher out and you are rught – the outlet hose had become distorted. Thanks again.
