I have got a Hoover Performa 1100 thats about 5 years old and after each cycle has finished, the fabric softener compartment will not empty even after extensive cleaning with a tootbrush.

I wonder if anyone else has experienced a problem of this kind or may know a solution.

    Rob,

First thing to do is take the drawer out, clean it thoroughly especially the syphon nozzle and test it under the tap to see it working!

Then clean the dispenser cavity with a pan brush or similar, concentrating on the holes directly above the fabric conditioner compartment. You may also need to poke say a plastic cable tie into the holes to clear them thoroughly. 🙂

Finally, check the cold water inlet filter at the back to see if that is clear. 😯

If that fails to solve the problem, then the Inlet Solenoid Valve is faulty and needs replacing 😉

I take on board your comments consumerboy and thanks for that, but even Hoover machines do not have a dispenser problem these days that doesn’t have a simple cure

I refer again to my earlier post here, sort that out and you will get it up and running again…easy :lesson:

Consumerboy, take a very wise tip, don’t buy a Servis either! 😉
