Have you checked the waste pipe outlet under the sink? If you can take the pipe off, then set machine to drain.. Whiks holding pipe in to a bowl, you will then to see what, if any, flow of water you have leavin the machine.

You may have a blockage in the tub hose (large hise leading from the base of the tub, and entering the pump)
Also check that the impellor of the pump is firmy attached. This may be spinning when no water present, but it may actually be loose..Martin

hi martin,
before your last reply it did a quick 30 minute cycle successfully (empty load) so put a load on for a 112 minute cycle and f05 near the end again, so have emptied machine and checked pump again whilst running a spin cycle and it would seem that this time the pump was stuck only when i touched the fins did it start spinning – any ideas?? Last time when we did above the pump was running – so do you think we could need a new pump 🙁

With the power off at the wall.. Put your finger in and poke around the inside the pump moving the fins of impellor as you do so….you may find somthing that may be intermittently fouling it ….
If not its time for a new pump

Thanks martin, can I ask do you know what sort of price that would be fitted? Would it be better/moreeffective fro a new machine?= rather than a repair?

Hi we have had a dig around, cannot find anything, but as you turn the spindle around it feels like its sprung loaded? ie there is a build up of resisitance for 3/4 of a turn and then it goes loose, and that happens on very rotation in both directions – any ideas…

if there is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} nothing jamming it then it sounds like the pump is gone, cheap part to replace and relatively easy if you relatively competent,
