    I have a Diplomat ADP4500 which, on the main fan oven will not get up to teperture, the fan is working and I have changed the circular heat element and the thermostat but to no change. Heat element comes on, thermostat light go out after a few minutes, but no matter what setting, will not rise above 120 degrees C.

    Any thoughts as to what else could be effecting it?

    Hi

    Have you fitted the thermostat sensor in the correct position.

    I ahve put it in the same position as the original (i think)will double check!

    the themostat sensor is in the correct location!

    Any other thoughts?

    it looks like your oven is a multifunction type, please decribe which setting you are using on the function switch

    Thanks for the reply.

    This is a double oven and it is the main fan oven that is not working correctly, the top oven/grill works fine.

    The fan is operational on the main oven but on turning the selector knob on the light comes on but the temperature doesn’t get to that selected (verified by separate thermometer) the temperature light goes out before reaching the desired temperature at about 120 each time.

    Not sure where to try next with it, so any help would be appreciated

    set the thermostat to 80c when the temperature indicator goes out
    turn the thermostat up to 100c and tel me if the indicator light comes back on.

    The light doesn’t seem to want to come on at all now (the light flashed on momentarily)and the oven not heating in the slightest,!?!

    Could it be the selector switch?

    Found the problem, the TOC is not working, bypassed it and all ok
