I put my Hygena 8102 dishwasher on to wash dishes before going to bed a couple of nights ago. When I got up it was still going through cycle 6 hours later but making a loud grinding noise. Initially thought circulation motor had failed.
Stripped out and removed debri from circulating pump housing.
Tested after rebuilding but still the same and not completing wash cycle from previous night. Reset heater as it had tripped, then realised the machine had no water in it. Filled up with a bucket of water and noise stopped, machine completed wash cycle. Tested again, machine filled up and started to wash. Continued through cycle then machine emptied all water out, noise from circulating motor started again and heater tripped. Looks like machine is not filling after its initial hot wash has completed and water drained. Manually filling from a bucket allows cycle to complete.
Can anyone supply a flowcahrt of wash cycle after pressing start button.

I don’t think there is such a thing, but there is a wiring diagram tucked next to the timer, it may include a flow chart.

Check for more blockages by the sounds of it.

I agree with Dave…sounds like a water level control problem which is usually down to a mechanical blockage (food residues)Clive
Thanks for the info. I found the circuit diagram, not easy to locate as it was folded up to the size of a postage stamp.
I take it the water level is controlled by the pressure switch?
The circuit refers to a water valve, a regeneration valve and a rinsing valve, I can probably workout what these are but not sure about regeneration.Re: Hygena AHY8102 Dishwasher help
Regeneration is to do with the water softening process, no need to investigate anything in that area 😉

Dave/Clive thanks for the info.
I checked for blockage to the pressure switch, blew through tube and it was clear. Tried wash cycle again and this time machine overfilled. Wife got kitchen floor washed. Eventually managed to set pressure switch by draining all water out of machine reconnecting tube to pressure switch then filling to normal ‘sump’ level. Started cycle and machine completed full cycle. It has now done a couple of full wahes and is cleaning better than it has done for months. Once again thanks for the help, I was struggling until you pointed me in the right direction.Neil

Does anyone know where I can get hold of an instruction manual for an AHY8102? I have cleverly managed to lose mine and need to investigate why it is continioulsy running through a rinse cycle despite my best efforts. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.
