I’ve had a board returned from EMW and display is now showing F18.

It will fill to first level then abort before next fill level and drain out.

Set on spin with drum empty of clothes and water it will start to pump then abort before motor kicks in showing F18.

I have meggered everything pinched connectors to board, checked for blockages and changed pressure switch.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram so I can double check connections to the board are correct?

Suggestions on anything else I could check would be welcome

    Thanks

F18 means faulty communication between microprocessor and DSP (Digital Signal Processor).
I didn’t met such error so I could not help you further…
The only doubt I have it’s about “eep” file version because sometime the eeprom does not match always with commercial code (depends also by PCB code) … that’s a little bit hard to do if you do not have such equipment (hardware & software )…

That sounds very technical to me and I don’t have any Hotpoint test equipment but if I understand you correctly the board is faulty.

    Thanks Baron

Do tighten the two connections at the top of the board and the one on the facia.
This is one that EMW recommends to do whenever you fit a board
I use a watch maker’s screwdriver to ease out the connections in each plug.
I have a kit of 5 watch makers’ screwdrivers in a plastic container I think I got it from Maplins

The repaired ❗ board from EMW was faulty.
