    Siwamat E-Nr WM61201GB/01

All actions of all the programs work, dont get any error codes, the problem is the drum does not move at all.

Tried removing and re-seating power board and noticed a lot of black around the small coil component near the back.

Only other notable thing is when you are expecting the drum to turn, all you get is a click from one of the four orange relays about once every 5 sec or so.

    Any pointers appreciated

    thanks

Easy Job? or is there a how to on here?

I have had a look where the motor is and all the parts I think I need to get to are facing towards the front of the machine 🙁

Advice on how to get at it would be appreciated… Take out the floor pan (riveted) remove the motor? or just get them out in situ?

    thanks

I get the destinct impression this is some kind of wind up. :rolls:

Why not just take the back panel off to access the motor, after all the motor is at the back of the machine. Come on, you’re winding me up …surely?

Sorry, it was not my intention to wind you up.

This is what I can see when I lie face down on the floor, yes the ‘motor’ is accessible and I can feel the bushes, but they are on the other side of the motor right by the drum drain hose so access is not great, hence the (well I though reasonable) question as to the best way to tackle it or do I just go face down and fumble around in the dark so to speak.

Just take the motor out, remove the two bolts, one bolt head you can see, the other is accessed from the side, behind the angled motor bracket.

If and when you do this you will understand my esteemed colleagues incredulity. 😉

No need to lie it down at all.

Many thanks, I always take action on a considered and informed basis. I dont like to charge in and just start randomly undoing things, well not since….. ahem, that’s another story altogether 🙂

Will go, spanner in hand, report back later..

OK, motor out, brushes out and stripped, and yep, they’re worn 😉

I guess now I just need the brush to fit in the carrier, only thing I am aware of is that these are FHD carbon, no idea what that means, anything I need to be aware of?

    P.S.

One caveat – that motor is heavy… turned into an impromptu guillotine when it pinned my pinkie on the edge of the frame…. OUCH!

Dimension are an exact (well within 0.01mm) match.
