Does the fridge get very cold so it freezes the milk?

ParticipantRe: beko fridge freezer
it can freeze things if they are right at the back of the fridge
otherwise things are very cold in there even if the contol is set to minimumJanuary 1, 2005 at 2:23 pm #122405Penguin45
ParticipantI think it’s stat reference B1-6169 – Dave Conway should be ableto source one for you.

KeymasterDavid,
I believe that Dave is a tad hungover today. 😈
But most likely he’ll be able to give you a definitive answer on his return to the office on Tuesday I think.

Without a diagnostic visit from a service engineer there’s no 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} way of telling to be honest, we can only advise on the possibilities.
If you’re doing it yourself there’s only one way to find out, by replacing it and see 😉

Assuming you have fitted it correctly, especially taking care with the capilary pipe and making sure it is fitted exacly as the old one was, its a system fault, Dave. Not easy to id. Basicly for whatever reason the frost line is never reaching where the end of the thermostat phial is hence the fridge keeps running.
Expert attention required and its even possibly an unrepairable job but, being a Beko, get some quotes first.
It was worth trying the stat though as it was a cheap option and would cure 9 out of 10 faults with your symptoms.January 30, 2005 at 7:59 pm #122415challengedavid
ParticipantRe: beko fridge freezer
i have just put a thermometer in it and it only cools down to 6degrees
i have another fridge and it says 3 deegrees in there
the fridge has been running for several hours none stop
to me thats sound like i was wrong in the thermostat and maybe it needs regassing as its not getting cold enough
is it a case of chucking it away?Dave

Well, it’ll either be short of gas or the compressor has failed by the sounds of it.
So, given the cost price of the Beko, economically it’s an unviable repair in my opinion.
If you come to replace it,(don’t take this the wrong way as it’s meant as good advice) please don’t be drawn by the low price this time eh 😉
Dave.
