Diverter is not available as a seperate item. Part no 488856 for combined heater/diverter unit.
It sound like it could be a diverter problem.November 29, 2012 at 8:03 am #385522johno1998

Hi thanks for the response so is it a heater out job or is it easier to take diverter of the old heater unit and replace with diverter of the new heater unit.?

Don’t even think of doing that unless you want to create more problems for yourself. 😐
Common reasons the diverter valve (or water point in Bosch speak) failing are: cam plate jams in heater unit as the heater unit plastic warps. Main drive shaft water seal leaks onto drive motor and finally the gears tend to jam. That’s not to say you can’t swap it over if you wish, you are free to make that choice. 😈

Just a thought have you tried a diagnostic reset – holding normal and eco buttons while switching on.
I have just had a problem with a Bosh DW and I think it was a fault with the diverter valve stuck and this did the trick

BernieBernie I hate to tell you this but resetting the programme has no effect whatsoever on the operation of the diverter in the heater box. There is not cure for a sticking diverter valve other than to replace the complete instantaneous heater unit. 😉
