Just a heads up on something
After the conference we have our AGM ,this will need publicising a month before the event ,we have some vacancies that we will have to mention along with terms for voting etc ,i.e to be eligible to be nominated you have to be a member for 2 years and be wiling to stand for 3 years ,we will also need to talk about what we have done over the year ,I can produce chairmans report ,and also field any questions .
we will be using one of the smaller suites upstairs and I suggest starting at 4pm and finishing when the business of the day is over .The only people eligible to attend will be fully paid up members of the WTA at the time of the meeting ,so we need an up to date list available so we can check them in .

Constitution requires a Chairman, a Secretary and a Treasurer, which of these requires advertising?

No probs,
It makes life a little easier then as advertising will no doubt being interest from some quarters which may not be conducive to enduring peace and harmony within the team.
Also remember applications for the management team need to come from nominees a month in advance, no nominations by the required date means no need to change things, it’s up to those wanting to come on board to apply in due time.
You can, of course co opt those you want on the team whenever you want them, without notification.

I am about to announce the AGM,before I do something crossed my mind and that is what are we required to make public ? the reason being that I know for a fact there are a couple of DASA members that are WTA members and will therefore be in the room .
if its a Chairmans report and the like thats fine ,its the financials I wasn’t sure about ?Re: AGM 2013
Well i will have the financials anyway, hoping to have them a few days before the meeting so we can get a look. 😉
As with all year end stuff and because we needed them by Feb they run a year behind so this year we have them up to Dec 2011, next meeting will be for 2012 and so on.T

Damn, with all thats going on at home I completely forgot to announce the AGM ,Do I still announce it ? make it part of the day and then we send a report out to all the members ? or make it for another day ?

Is it actually needed?
The notion of an AGM is, to my mind, an ancient ritual performed in the days of the caveman before communications became what they are today.
The fact is that these days the function of an AGM is carried out on an almost daily basis and the whole “having an AGM” thing is merely a formality IMO.
