I intend to replace the door on my inbuilt gas oven. It is a Hygena AHY0142 Model No. 050502079 Serial No. 50139261. The outer glass door has shattered but the inner glass sheet is still intact.

Can anyone advise me on how to remove the door? I can’t work out how to release the hinges… I can’t see any catch to release but there is a small hole on the hinge. Most of the hinge assembly is behind the front of the oven so very inaccessible. Thanks.

    Open the door and
3 or 4 inches from the hinge towards the top of the door you should have a screw when removed will allow the door to slide off the hinge arm.

Thank you. I have managed to get the shattered door off at last. I had been trying to remove the door and hinge together!

I am going to order a new door. Can you advise if it should just be a case of sliding the new door back on to the hinges?

Off now to find a good take-away!

    Many thanks,
    Anne

Yes just fit as reverse of removal but make sure the door is fully down before replacing screw

Thanks again. I’m going to have a go at fitting a new door!
