KeymasterMy HDV6 has stopped getting hot, I think it is the thermastat thats gone as there is mains to it and the heating element is has resistance across it.
Do you guys have a part no? and where from?
Also, Embarrassingly 😳 I have managed to break the front panel ‘Heat Setting’switch in the process (I just eased it out with the crow bar and pop!).
Any numbers for that too? and where is the best place for parts.?
Many thanks, Mark T

The heater is in the shop@ here Mark:

There’s two switches on the front but on the diagram it doesn’t indicate which on is which 🙄 one is normally closed contacts, the other normally open, if you can let me know which one you need I’ll get back to you on that 😀

Thanks for heater info I will order with switch if poss:
The switch on the front panel has zero resistance in its resting postion, going to high resistance when activated. (is that open or closed, sorry its along time since I did this sort of thing for living.

Normally closed then 😀
That’s part number 28225024 which is £3.97 inc VAT.
This would be a special order from GIAS (Hoover/Candy group) which I can do for you, normally 7-10 working days.
If you want to order them both, go to the shop and order the heater and leave a note indicating that you would like the switch ordered and authorising that we may charge the extra £3.97 to your credit card (it’s a legal thing ;))
I get and deal with all the orders so I’ll remember it.
Hope this helps.
