Product 944171128The main bottom oven when set on the FAN cooking does not heat up. As the elements come on for some of the other options I don’t think it is the elements. It does also have another common issue that it switches off itself.
There are 2 elements on the roof of the oven:
Outer element (rectangle)
Inner element (3 loop)I have tried the following tests to see what heats up and what does not to establish what may be wrong:
Fan setting – Outer element – is OFF
Inner element – is OFF
Bottom of oven – is OFFPizza setting – Outer element – is ON
Inner element – is OFF
Bottom of oven – is HOTConventional setting – Outer element – is ON
Inner element – is OFF
Bottom of oven – is OFFSingle grill setting – Outer element – is ON
Inner element – is ON
Bottom of oven – is OFFregards Bal

Is there another element that is hidden behind the back panel by the fan blade that is used for FAN oven setting ?

Replace the circular fan element behind the backplate cover (fan cover) 😉

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the info…thought there may be another element behind the fan plate, attempted the 4 screws from the back cover but only managed to take 3 off the 4th fails to unscrew.
Thought about trying WD40 on the screen but it’s flamable, not sure if it’s ok to use while oven is off ?regards

Clear head of screw so a screwdriver makes a perfect fit, tap screwdriver with a hammer to loosen rust/corrosion. Then try unscrewing again. (Better still a powered screwdriver will make light work of even the most stubborn screw!)

Ensure the oven power is fully isolated first, even switch off cooker RCD in consumer unit :zap:

Hi Martin,
managed to unscrew the 4th one, all off and tested the element with a multimeter and no continuity, so must be a faulty element.
Thanks for all you help.
regards Bal.
