Hoover Royal Warrant removal. A request to Her Majesty The Queen. For the removal of Hoover’s Royal Warrant. Following the recent showing of the BBC documentary, Hoover Flight Fiasco. Harry Cichy has received many letter’s, phone calls & email urging him, to ask Her Majesty for the removal of the most highly regarded, crest & seal of approval, by the Royal Household. After all the court cases up & down the country & the BBC watchdog undercover filming, the Royal crest has become a slight to the Royal Warrant worn on Hoover goods? The BBC program was a reminder that Hoover may not be worthy to hold onto the Royal Warrant.
At the time of the promotion the Maytag Corporation were the owners of Hoover Europe, selling Hoover Europe to Candy in 1995. Some would say because of the flight promotion. However they kept Hoover in the USA. Maytag have done their level best to distance themselves from Hoover Europe & what for them has been a promotion to far. Len Hadley was the CEO of Maytag at the time. Mr Hadley may well be reflecting, in retirement that 10 years ago it might have been better for Maytag & Hoover, for him, to talk to the three Brits, Sandy Jack, Harry Cichy & Lee Robertson. The present CEO Ralph Hake has had his own problems, a strike at Maytag HQ in Newton & Hoover struggling. Many are seeking Hake head on a plate. One thing is for sure Maytag will allways be remembered, as the owners of Hoover at the time of the Largest corporate blunder.”Hoovergate”. the Flight Fiasco.
