    Hi,

I have a Creda T632CW. I have replaced the 2 themostats above the element, and the element itself. However only 1 out of the 4 actually heats up. I have checked the high low heat switch for continuity and this is fine. I have compared with my mums older version of the same dryer and 2 elements always come on.
I have tried using sensor and non sensor mode with the same results. All wiring was returned to original connections when new parts fitted (using photos)
I am also finding that the water reservoir hardly ever needs to be emptied, I suspect this is as a result of issues with the element.
Any help or advice would be very welcome.

For a start there are only two elements not four. 😉

If you are trying to run the machine with the back off ( something you should NOT do ) then it is possible you will only see one half of the element assembly glowing.

The sensor dryers only use both elements for the cottons drying cycle.
Almost all cycles use the low heat only, all the sensor dry cycles use the low heat setting. If your mums old one is just a basic dryer that is not electronically sensed then that works differently.

Lack of water in the container and poor drying results are usually caused by blockages or airflow restrictions.
