    smeg model: c62mfx5

    I have the problem that the top oven/grill no longer produces heat.

    The fan still comes on but orange light does not next to control dial. I checked the double element and get 28 ohm on one circuit and 50 ohm on the other which i take it means the element is ok?

    The control dial looks undamaged from the back with a torch, might take to front off for a closer look.

    anything else I can look at to fix this?

    any comments most greatly received.

    assumed your model is cc62mfx5 not c62mfx5 as stated


    the seletor switch is the most likely problem

    remove switch and look for burnt or broken switch contacts
