Hi i have a Hoover hurricane light.
Its making a really really loud noise when on.
My dogs go nuts when we are using it.
Is there a a tear down guide or the place to start looking on where to correct this?
    Its out of warranty.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi stuart

The noise is more than likely coming from the brushroll, not difficult to get at really

Turn machine upside down, remove all the screws securing the black plastic surround of the brushroll, including the long part at one edge which covers the belt..

Remove brushroll and spin around with your hand to check for any noises
Off hand i cant rembee if the side caps are removable to get at the bearings, if not its a new brushroll needed. Whilst the brush is out you can turn the machine on and check that the sound is ot coming from the motor…if it is my advice is to bin it, as the cost of a new motor is almost as much as a new machine!

    Hope this helps

got a feeling its the motor its more a noise from internally than externally.
Still works just sounds like its going to explode at some point lol.

    Thanks for you help.
Ill have a a try with the brushroll.
