    What’s the best way to get to the drain pump on these LG’s
    with a solid plastic base? Is it front off? Couldn’t see how the front comes off & didn’t want to force anything.

    take small front panel off and tilt machine back you slacken the 2 front panel screws it is tricky but im used to it or its lid off facia and front panel depends if pump unit is front left or front right

    yes i agree you can get at it through behind the plynth. loosen it from the base and then carefully twist it around with pipes attached and unscrew the pump motor.
