    Hi,

I’ve moved into a flat with the cooker mentioned in the subject line. The bulb seems to have gone. I’m afraid I don’t know how to get the bulb out, never mind what type it is. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Martin

The circular lamp cover should just unscrew anti-clockwise to reveal the lamp, which also unscrews.

It will either be a 15w or 25w 300C ses pygmy bulb, both of which are available in the shop@ <<

    Hope this helps.

    Dave.

Wonderful, thank you. The cover came off with a bit of persuasion.

The cooker was left in a real state by the last owner, I had do some serious cleaning. The lamp cover was really stiff as it was clogged up with grease and I didn’t want to try to turn it really hard until I knew that it was meant to come off that way!

Would the 25W bulb and the 15W bulb both be appropriate replacements?

Yup, you can get them in Shop@, but TBH most DIY places have them these days, or any local repair shop.

If the oven is a real burnt-on greasy mess BTW, make up a strong solution of biological washing powder in WARM (not hot) water and drop in all the bits you want to clean – leave overnight and in the morning the greasy mess will quite literally wipe off!
