    Hello, thank you for reading…

I have recently connected my washing machine after moving and renovating the new house to make it liveable. I have run a well-known washing machine cleaner through the system, but this dislodged the general scum that collects in the pipes and had dried out.
Having fully unblocked the sump filter, all pipes and drum so that there is no scum left… when I start the machine it just fills and fills with water. The drum does not move and the pump does not kick in.

ERROR CODE – Shows an ‘hour glass’ image flashing with the number ’58’ next to it… also the red lights for the ‘Cold wash’ and Sensitive care’ are flashing.

    Questions:

1, Is there a ‘button rest sequence’?
2, do I have to call an engineer (I would love to avoid this!)?

    Thanks again!!

Just filling with water indicates the air pressure chamber (built into the drum) is blocked with gunge. Power off, then try blowing down the air pressure tube (small thin rubber hose) in the hope of clearing the blockage in the air chamber.

If you don’t find a blockage check the hose for little nicks that would allow ain’t to escape

Unfortunately that did not work… no air escape or blockage. I could hear the bubbles created in the resting water in the drum.
On any setting the machine just fills… showing the same error.

Hmmm? I wonder if you got water in the electronics when taking the bottom hoses off? Didn’t lay it on its front or right hand side perhaps?

Thanks again. The error has been the same throughout, so I doubt that any further complications happens.
