Hello
A customer has got a cheapo solid ring hob from one of the sheds, and rang me to say one ring is getting too hot (almost to the point of glowing red) and making the top surface hot as well.
I didn’t think this type of ring could overheat, even when on full.
Is this even possible?
Is the customer talking rubbish?
Could it be a faulty ring?
Normally caused by saucepans that are either too large or of the catering type and the bottoms are not flat thus the plate doesnt sense the correct temp all over the surface thus causing the hot spots and can cause the blueing/tanning of the stainless steel hob top.
