W133 washing machine. The main bearing (closest the drum) got water in and failed. I got as far as removing the aluminium bearing assembly (shaped like an X) from the rear of the drum and removing the water seal. Now I can’t get the bearings out of it at all – its as if they are superglued in. Are they supposed to be in so tightly and is there a special method or tool needed to remove the bearings.

    thanks,
    Colin.

No Colin, just WD40 applied and left for an hour or so is ideal. Then whack them out with a sharp edged cold chisel 😀

Welcome to the world of washing machine repairers, we do it all day long for a living and have the scars to prove it 😆

    Thanks Martin,

I ended up pouring a kettle of boiling water over it, the expansion seemed to let the bearings move a lot easier.
