ParticipantHi, i have a zanussi tumble dryer. It goes in the clockwise direction for about 3-4 mins, stops then tries to go in the opp direction, it starts to go then stops. Then the lights blink twice and beeps twice at the same time. I then have to turn switch to zero (off) and start the whole procedure again. Is there anyone who may have an idea as to the fault…. Ta

Either the pump has failed or the main PCB is faulty. Check out the pump first.

Phil, I suggested you check the pump first. By that I meant check to see if it is functioning and not go to the expense of replacing it! Throwing parts at it is not the best or the cheapest solution. Forget sourcing a PCB and instead check out that the pump/float system functions and discharges water into the water container. Then report back please.

Yes when i fitted the new pump, after a while it started working fine, dryer doing its thing, turning clockwise then anti-clockwise for a while. filling the water container, now stopped and not pumping at all.

Phil, we have to assume those to whom we give advice have a degree of electrical knowledge. I’m not sure you have because of that question and therefore would advise you to contact a local repairer.

Thank you for your help anyway. but the reason i asked that question was because when i powered it up, it didn’t operate, thats why i asked, just in case there was a specific way to do it.. there is power going in and coming out…
Thanks…
