ParticipantI’ve ‘bosch blizzard – E-NR WFF1601/01
someone gave it to me when I moved in in my new apartment but I don’t know how to use it properly as the text in German.
I couldn’t find a manual anywhere either.
Either I’m not using it rite or there is something wrong with it.
it has 1-13 numbers. I started with 1 but then it stopped spinning when it reached no 4. Then I started at no 6 and then it stopped at 9
And it goes on for hours. I’m not completely sure if it washed my clothes thoroughly
anyone have any info on this model?
thanks

Hi
Have found a WFF16 series manual which may help, it is in German as it is a German machine though.
If you PM me an email address I’ll send you a copy. You should be able to translate it to English with one of the online translators.
HTH 🙂

It’s an old machine and manuals are not usually available now. Fortunately translating from German to English is easy now with the likes of Google translate and such. And the symbols on the dial are also pretty self-explanatory. Combine the two and it’s not much of an issue overall. 😉
But, what IS an issue here is that, from what you tell us about it stopping and going on for hours, the control knob may well be broken? That is a common problem on these and results in the programme going haywire. The plastic link between the dial and the timer controller breaks. The only resolve is a new control dial unit (not an issue and still available).
Below is an illustration from another Bosch model very similar to yours that shows the dial. The control dial unit is the two control knobs in the panel insert on the right hand side. Simple fix…….

Don: I’ve pmed u my email address (thanks)
Martin: so just to make sure whether its still working properly or I’m just not using it rite, how would u use the above?
Press ‘ein’ then press ‘spul/stop?’ do I need to press this as whenever I did, it made no difference.
I guess pressing ‘1200/600’ is not necessary either
next I set it on ’40 degrees’ and the timer on one. If it works properly then it should just go from 1 to 13 and then stop? And I shouldn’t interfere in the middle to set it up again? and if not then I need to buy new dial controller? any idea how much that costs?
thanks

‘Ein’ is the on/ off switch ( depressed for on – press again for off)
‘Spul/stop’ is the optional rinse hold facility (if you don ‘t want it don’t use it)
adventurousman wrote:guess pressing ‘1200/600’ is not necessary either
That switches from a 1200 spin to a 600 ( if you don’t want don’t touch)

Yes!

Correct!

Let’s see how you fair on the first part before jumping to conclusions but the new ‘dial assembly’ is not that costly I don’t think.

So I washed my clothes again. Looked like it was working fine, made some noise in the middle and now it stopped and the door can be opened but lil bit soap bubble is there on the door and water remaining in the upside middle drawer. Clothes look dry without any soap
Numbers are divided from 1-12 and 1-4 have red color, 5-8 have blue color and then 9-12.
I started with one and now it stopped after four, it won’t go to 5. I assume its done?
Maybe if I now start again, it’ll wash clothes all over again and go from 5-8 and then stop again.

This is getting a bit confusing. You say that 1-4 are in red.I assume that is because they are the hot wash programmes so it won’t go to 5 as that would be the start of the cold washes.5-8 in blue are the cold programmes.9-12 would be extra rinse spin programmes, denoted by symbols.

haha, yea I just noticed that because 1-4 are marked in red color, 5-8 are marked in dark blue & 9-12 are marked in green. The pic u posted has the same 12 options. What do u think it means?
I think u have 3 options, either start at 1 and it’ll stop at 4 or start at 5 and it’ll stop at 8 or start at 9 and then it’ll stop at 12. Before I thought it should go from 1-12 but it didn’t so then I moved it myself after 4 which it started again and then stopped at 8 and then I’ve to move it again so it took a lot of time.
I still don’t know if I’m correct or maybe there is something wrong with it and it is suppose to go from 1-12
My clothes are still in the washing machine, don’t know whether I should give it another spin or not 🙂
Don: that manual doesn’t look like mine as it has more controls than the washing machine I’ve and it has a double dial up
spanishwhite: it might mean that but normally (in my last washing machine) I put clothes in and it washes it with 40 or 50 degrees and then I take it out (simple) and here it stops so I assume its done but is the cold wash necessary? If it is then it should do it on its own

It don’t work like that Spanish. If you start a prog 1 it finishes at 12. In other words the dial completes almost a full 360. I said all along that I suspect the dial has broken but I don’t think our OP has sussed that yet?

ParticipantRe: Bosch washing machine, stopping in the middle of the spi
hmm so u r saying the clothes are not completely washed? And the dial is broken? What if I just start again at 4 and then again at 9, it would be the same thing, no?
I only have to get up and give it a lil push twice 🙂

okay so I turned the dial again and it turned 5,6,7 and then stopped where its return “waschen” same thing it did in the beginning, it turned 1,2,3 and then stopped between 3&4 and filled up the upper drawers with water so I assume its gonna wash it again, wouldn’t this be the same thing?

I give up… Bye!
Edit: one last question before I go: Is the dial stiff to turn?

no, I can only move 1 step for e.g. from 4-5 the rest it does by itself & why give up? Am I not making it clear?
