KeymasterHi
No one seems to have had this problem before on the site so i thought i would ask….. deperately trying to save some cash.
This dishwasher appears basic, a start button, hot/cold button. Rotary for cold rinse / off / wash. Three indicator lights Progress/Salt/Rinse Aid.
Problem is this.
After watching one too many house shows my wife put half a cup of bleach in to “clean” the inside of the washer. when the bubbles started coming out the sides she turned it off.Using a chicken baster i took all the water out, replaced it with new and tried again, same result…… so tried again, and again.
Problem is the machine keeps running, never stops, never drains…..seems stuck.
Any help or advice much appreciated.thanks
Jools

ParticipantKeep doing it – it’ll clear eventually. It is reluctant to drain because the bleach is turning the water to froth………
Next time you want to clean it, use lots of lemon juice. Bleach is good for doing autowashers on the boilwash.

Hi
thanks for the reply………. has now been running with a change of water (about the third change) for 3 hours…. far longer than a normal cycle……
The water is not frothing any more, but it is also not heating the water at all.
Any further advice….. is such a pain changing the water ( i use a turkey baster)
Thanks
Jools

The element overheat thermostat will have “tripped” and needs resetting.
If you’re not confident tackling this, then you’ll need an engineer to do it for you Jools.
If you are going to have a look, whip the plug out of the socket :zap:
