The fan and light switch seems to have brokenthis hood I inherited. Is there a replacement hood I could use, or is it possible to still get these ?

You can still get the spares for this model Clive.

Is it the plastic slides that have broken or the switch itself ?

Dave, Thanks, I’m not sure what’s broken exactly – nothing works so I’m looking to replace the whole thing. There’s no obvious signs of failure and I assume it’s the switch itself. The switch has the wires soldered to it for both lights and fan. Clive

I would check other things first in that case if the whole thing appears dead.

I would imagine you have just moved in to a new home and this hood was already there when you say inherited ?

I’ll wager that the previous owner has switched the isolation switch off for it, have a look on top of the cupboard the hood is installed to for a switch of some sort 😉

If that’s how it is installed of course.

😀 Nice try ! The thing was working (apart from the hood operated over-ride switch) but has now stopped. Although I can track power into the main switch, I get no further….it’s not coming out of the other side either to light or fan. I did move into the house and it was there then, so it’s age and history are indeterminate ! Clive

Ok, in that case, the switches and their relative parts are around £25 all in, I can get them for you and post to you.

Drop me an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and I’ll advise further.

    Dave.
