I have a Bosch and would have another as well, a fair few of the family members also have Bosch machines some of which do have the sealed drums with no problem at all.

You don’t give an absolute budget but, to remain within reason and probably how I’d go with some pointers…

Install it correctly, it’ll last for years and just work.

Yes, parts can be expensive and slow at times but, you’ll rarely if ever need them especially the usual run of the mill stuff. The only things that tend to break on Liebherr are the odd door handles, that aren’t a concern on integrated and the odd shelf support or suchlike which won’t stop it from running.

As a primary appliance you need to rely on, that’d be my choice.

Can I ask why it’s needed if you have a fridge freezer?

If it’s just for additional long terms storage, a small chest freezer may be a better bet so long as you’ve got somewhere to keep it and, a heap cheaper as well.

Bosch are good to be fair to them but I’m not convinced by some of the “premium” features that they throw in these days, most people will rarely need them or use them. Looks good on paper though.

The Electrolux brands are worth looking at and just as good pretty much, but often lower cost with slightly more reasonably priced spares when the time comes.

Smeg = style + price. Not really any better than the rest but decent enough ovens, I find them a tad harsh heat wise although, that can be a good thing but you will pay for that style.

Miele, V-Zug et all, good but you need the income of the third world country to justify the cost. Even then, you may struggle.

Steer clear of the cheap stuff, not so good for cooking with IMO.

There’s not much in that either, big magnets and some electronics is really all that they are in essence.

Do consider however that you will need pans with an iron content for it to work and depending on what you cook would determine the suitability.

For example, if you make jam or anything that involves molten sugar ceramic hobs are not a good plan. Molten sugar on them is like acid, it eats the ceramic so a bad choice if you cook anything of that ilk.

They are also ludicrously expensive to repair when they break as almost all components inside them are one-piece assemblies so it isn’t uncommon for one or two parts to cost more than a complete replacement.

Airflow and ventilation are also critical, muck it up and the hob will get killed in short order.

If it says “Made In PRC” on it, avoid like the plague.

If it has to be integrated, Bosch or Electrolux (AEG/Zanussi/Electrolux) are generally fine.

Beko a worthwhile budget option if need be.

Smeg, good but expensive and not all that much better than any of the others.

Then there’s Miele, good but not cheap at all.

Liebherr do not make a 50/50 built in fridge freezer, so look at bosch Neff or siemens.
the entry level bosch dishwasher is polynox interior, plastic and steel, so the entry level smeg which is around £300 is a good buy, DI6012, it is full steel interior.

You wont go wrong with Bosch Neff or Siemens stuff.
