    Hello

After a period of sitting in the corner while parts of my house were renovated I plugged this washing machine back in. Put a load in started the wash going. It started to fill up OK and got to the point where it would usually turn the drum over a bit and it cut out completely. No lights, no anything. After draining it etc it still won’t turn on.

The fuse in the plug is fine and power is actually getting to the main circuit board OK.

    Any ideas on this please?

Was it exposed to a damp atmosphere or moved from a cold into a warm then switched on….condensation etc?

If anything it went from a warmer area to a cooler part of the house, however it was exposed to a fair bit of dust etc as a result of the building works (which ended up somewhat more extensive than planned) which I’m sure hasn’t done it much good.

Having said that when I opened it up this morning the circuitry looked completely clean with no sign of any dust or water ingress even as far as the inner plastic part holding the pcb. No sign of obvious problems with the pcb either (burnt bits/blown capacitors etc). There was no ‘bad’ noise when it failed either. Simply switched off mid fill.

I guess what I’m wondering is: is it possible that a fault somewhere else in the machine could cause this complete lack of function or is this a pcb issue?
