ParticipantHi Happy new year
Ok New years eve my washing stopped spinning leaving clothes soggy i checked all the pipes ect they are clear the pump is ok as i did the Auto Test BUT another problem appeared while in test mode the barrel wouldnt stop filling with water i got worries so turned it of and drained it all away so i know pumps working no error codes are displaying
if i put on drain as well it keeps draining and wont stop
same as if i put on spin cycle the barrel just turns and drains constantly and wont go into spinnow if i try to put on a normal cycle no water starts and the barrel turns very slow
any ideas please or is it time for currys?
thank you

Sounds as if the pressure switch or sensor is either being held open or is faulty.

I’m not familiar with the model but I think this is the pressure switch fitted…
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/97921910 … ure-switch
When you blow into it you should hear at least two or three clicks and two of the switches should close, both essentially cut the fill valves off.
If it is jammed open then the machine would think it was full of water and just constantly try to drain never reaching the switching point where it knows it’s been drained down.

Check that the sump hose and pressure chamber are clear as shown here…
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/41002867 … -sump-hose
If they are then there’s a fair chance it’s the pressure switch but, obviously, I cannot be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain of that.
