Hi all after some advice on how to remove base element on a stoves dual fuel range. Element is fitted to the left hand oven, cavity is surrounded with insulation and no obvious access. Model – 444445371. I am a white goods engineer and proven that the element is open circuit. Going back Friday morning any tips will be gratefully received.

If you tested the terminals on the element then that’s where it will probably come out from where it’s a lower heating element.

This is what I thought, but again there Is no obvious signs,at the rear of the appliance where the terminals are there seems to be some sort of plate covering the entire cavity and again it is wrapped in insulation.

Pull the insulation away and I suspect it will be fairly obvious how it comes out. 😉

Job done, for others attempting this I would suggest wearing a dust mask and removing bottom storage drawer completely.Remove insulation from underneath cavity as neatly as you can, as this will help sticking it back together.Remove plate from below element, you can now see the offending item, now remove fan element cover from within cavity and you will notice a screw at the bottom centre line of oven cavity, this is what is holding the element in place, remove this and withdraw damaged element. Replace element, plate and insulation.
