Hi – competent engineer-type here, happy to work with things electrical and mechanical, but nervous about pushing/pulling/levering things too hard and snapping them…
I need to replace the mains switch on a VAX Power VX2 (U89) upright vacuum cleaner. The current switch has become unreliable, and won’t always operate when the button is pushed.
I’ve undone all the screws I can find, but can’t get to the switch. I suspect it might even be as simple as levering the switch over a bit harder than I have dared to do so far, but…
Any ideas? (preferably good ones from someone who knows – I have two kids who have been coming up with the daft ones!)
