Hi, our dishwasher has developed the following fault – at the end of the wash cycle the pump will continue to run until switched off. When the M/C is switched on again, the pump will run but the cycle will not start.

Tipping the M/C back by 45 degrees empties some water onto the floor and the M/C will run the full cycle correctly.

I have removed and cleaned the filters and a run a cleaner cycle. However after a week the fault repeats. It would suggest a leak into the overflow?

    Any ideas please?

You’ve sort of answered you’re own question. Their is a leak into the base. The only way to see it is to take sides off and try to work out where it’s coming from.

Check its not leaking from the fill hose at the back of the machine, it will leak into the base and trip the anti flood device…..if you have one on your model.

The leak is on the output side, right where I can’t get to it! Before I potentially break something, does anyone know how the base plate is attached?

Base is held by two catches at the front, I’ve added a zip clip to the joint and we will see how we go!
