ParticipantI have a Indesit IDC85 condenser tumble dryer and when i am drying clothes i have noticed under the heater unit there is foam near the fan and its soaking wet and dripping water from it. Everything is clean draws filters and the pump is working ok. Any one know why this could be happening. i also took the back off and nothing unusual.
its dripping from the foam part of this picture you can see.

You cannot reach the fan assembly that way.
Either carefully lie the machine on it’s back or lie down on the floor and feel right into the back of the condenser chamber. Right along the back is a drain channel that gets clogged with gunge, you need to run your fingers along this channel and scrape out any detritus. There is a small drain hole that leads from this channel into the pump/float chamber at the back, this can also get blocked and can be cleaned from inside the float chamber at the rear.

I have cleaned it all up but there was nothing in there blocking the drainage hole. I think steam is getting in the fan side and dripping down but not sure. In the heater fan housing.
