ParticipantBosch SMV50EOOGB/21 intergated dishwasher. FD9010.
Drains, fills, washes, heats, drains out……water level OK… no water in base tray….. outlet to stand pipe so no siphoning…. 😐
Taking 3 – 4 hours to wash. Stops with wash ‘brush’ light on but nothing happening. Crocks are clean but machine doesn’t finish although it has drained out.
Apart from a module fault am I missing something?
Thanks!
Steve.

It could just be a faulty Turbidity sensor. 💡

OK just looked up error codes on this one. Brush LED flashing = E14 Flow sensor detects no impulse even though circl pump detects water. In plain English the reed switch needs changing. 😀

It could be just a dodgy install or lock . Brush led flashing on its own normally means the programme has been interrupted. I’d be looking at a new lock AND , if its got the plastic frame that it sits in , the additional fixing plate that is fitted on top of the lock to hold it in position. Unfortunately I don’t have immediatel access to the part number at the moment.

Ok , having now looked at the model , it appears to be a full metal tub appliance. I’d ask the customer to press on the door when it ‘stops’ to see if it restarts ? If it does then weak lock or installation problem to blame I think.

Customer finally got back – and it seems that when he pushes the door it restarts….. 😯
So is the sensor in the door the faulty part or the latch unit on top of the machine?
Thanks for the help so far, guys; much appreciated!!
Cheers,
Steve.

1st thing – check installation to make sure the decor door/door seal/fixing brackets aren’t preventing the door from closing properly. You should also check that there isn’t anything behind the appliance – plug socket/pipes/cables etc – pushing on the rear wall. This can push the top basket fwd , putting pressure on the door and causing sensor/magnet misalignment. One way to check is to bring the machine forward and run a cycle with the machine out of its install . If all that is ok , I’d be looking at a new door lock. Have only ever changed one sensor but that brings up an error code.
