    Beko WMD78144 washing machine – will work with no washing in. But if you put some washing in the drum it doesnt work – if you select a cycle , it starts. But then the timer counts down to 18 minutes then goes back to 20 and keeps repeating this. Help please?

    How old is the said appliance. possible loose belt, brushes worn etc.

    thank you for your reply – and apologies for my late reply back. appliance is about 2 year old – maybe 2 & 1/2 , Have checked brushes but motor is a one of the newer no brushes. , belt seems to look ok and works with no washing in the machine, but as soon as some weight goes into the washer it just stops

    Think you would have to suspect a dodgy motor if its unable to turn the drum loaded. Asuming the appliance has the correct supply to it & the connections have been checked etc.
