Back again to pester some more..

If you had some cash in your pocket which one if any would you consider bearing in mind the drum needs to accommodate a single duvet…

I don’t know if any of these machines have a sealed drum, but if they do let’s scrap them from the list. Parts prices are also a consideration, don’t want to be buying a set of bearings at London house prices.

    Baumatic MEGA10W
    Panasonic NA-140VS4
    Whirlpool AWM 9100
    Whirlpool AWM 1019
    Maytag MWA 10149

    Thanks.

Your choices are far from well informed. As to your want to wash a single duvet in a domestic washing machine then buy Bosch, Siemens or Miele. Wash the duvet cover in them but replace the duvet itself every two years. Never wash a duvet in a washing machine. Dry clean if you must otherwise. 🙁

What I know about washing machines you could write on the back of a postage stamp, hence the reason I posted in a washing machine forum asking for advice.

The Miele is unfortunately out of my budget. Bosch and Siemens sound good, any recommendation?

Settled for the Panasonic NA-140VS4. 1 year standard and 5 years parts and labour for under £400 which I didn’t think was bad.

    Thanks all.

Be sure and sign up for 5yrs as Panasonic washers aren’t ticking too many boxes reliability wise. 😉

Or by Hisense in China. Panasonic appliances, not exactly pretty reading.

    That’ll be just 5 years not 6.

5 year insurance protection INCLUDES the first year.

You are advised NOT to Google ‘tank ass’ if you are of delicate disposition.

Meh, I’ll take 5 years of trouble free washing..

The LED version seemed to score reasonably, can’t knock 9/10.

    Note no customer reviews, 😉

Not always five years trouble free either if or when it does break down swift repair may not happen.

You will be less than pleased when it breaks down and you can’t get someone out to fix it for 2 WEEKS. Parts have to be ordered, more delays, wrong part sent, more delays. Your definition of “trouble free washing” just may be a tad optimistic. 😉
