Re: Indesit IDC75 Tripping RCD
If it is only tripping the rcd then it is almost certain that you will not be able to ‘see’ anything. Only an insulation test with a megger or suitable multimeter would identify the fault.
Almost always caused by dampness getting onto the heating element at the rear. Although you say you clean the filters this is mainly caused by a failure to remove and completely clean the condensor unit. A garden hose or pressure washer is the best way to achieve this, you also need to reach right back into the condenser housing and clear any gunge from the channel that runs along the back.
In most cases the heating element can be simply dried out by carefully removing the back panel and blasting the element with a hair dryer for ten minutes or so.
