    Hi,

I have an Electrolux fridge freezer. JLSS 1808 / 925034037
The freezer is still working but the fridge is not cooling. I have defrosted it (not that there was any frost) and left it 24 hours before turning it back on. I have also run diagnostics with the control panel. Fault code says that the 0 degree compartment sensor is damaged. The fan also doesn’t run. Is the sensor replaceable and is it likely to be the damaged sensor which is preventing the fan from running?

    Thanks, any help appreciated.

Sensor should read between 4200ohms (15c) – 3500ohms (20c) at room temp’. If its faulty most of them are repairable but its a rewire job fitting kit in place of original.

Most common fault on these are the fan not running which causes no transfer of cold air up to fridge from freezer section. Many of them the fan can only be replaced by replacing the evaporator battery which entails refrigeration regassing etc.
Make sure freezer door is closed, fan won’t run with door open 😉
