    Hello,

    I put a normal cycle on my WMF760 and at some point it decided to stop. I was able to open the door, but it hadn’t rinsed the clothes. It was flashing an error F-06. I couldn’t really do anything, and the water wouldn’t drain.
    Now when I try to do anything the led display flashes for a split second. It doesn’t seem to recognise that the door is closed, so I can’t seem to start a cycle. But when I try to start one it moves the time down to 00:01 and stops.
    Sorry if I haven’t been able to explain it very well. The error message hasn’t been seen since the first time. Any ideas?

    I haven’t seen that message since the first time. Is it common to see the error message only once?

    Hello again,
    I tried to drain the machine manually by opening the filter at the bottom. I was able to unscrew the cap about a quarter turn which allowed the water to drain slowly. I can’t seem to turn it any further or open it. The water drained quite slowly which led me to believe something might be stuck. Is there any way to actually open the filter? I can’t see how anything is moveable other than the screws to hold the hose in place.

    Should have checked those pockets. :rolls:

    The only way to proceed without breaking the filter is to remove the pump completely to extract whatever it is that is stuck in there. Remove mains plug, lean it back against a wall or the units, ( get someone to hold it for you if you can). Remove the four screws and drop the pump down.

    Prevention is better than cure, a few seconds checking pockets can save a lot of grief, it may not block the pump next time, coins and other hard metal objects can easily punch a hole right through the outer drum, wrecking the machine. 😉

    I managed to unscrew drop the pump down (the bit with the cap) but I’m not sure how to actually open up the bit where the hose connects to the filter and drain. Sorry if I’m explaining myself poorly!

    Take the hose off and you may be able to clear it, if not then completely remove the pump to allow you to clear it.
