    Hello,

I’ve been having an ongoing fight with an integrated Beko. The customer was complaining that it wasn’t draining, the there was water leaking out of it on the spin.

I had a look and the drain pump was knackered, so I changed it, had a cursory check for blockages, tested it and it seemed fine. A week or so later she was on the phone saying it had done it again on the 3rd load of washing she’d done that day (back from a holiday).
I’ve since had everything from the sump to the U bend off and there are no blockages, I checked the board and there are no signs of overheating on it.
I have only had it almost repeat the problem once – the pump was going, but it was very slow to drain. I’ve had it apart since then and she says it’s happening again…

Has anyone else had a similar problem, or is this more likely to be a problem with the drains?

As always any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Grant

Could it possibly be a sticking sump ball valve? Gloopy liquid detergent can make them stick and water can leak from dispenser….????

I’ve had the ball out and is seemed fine – it’s worth a try, I’ll give it a good wash, or maybe just misplace it.

I’m sure the water is being thrown up the inlet pipe and out the dispenser. There is a bit of rust at the bottom edge of the dispenser and a clear run mark down the inside of the front panel.

Button or coin in the drain hose ?
Had a few over the years. Keep bamboo stick in the van to prove them clear !
Does it go into a stand pipe or direct into the sink plumbing?

I’ve had the drain hose off and shoved something down it – I was expecting a 5p, but nothing. It plumbs in under the sink.
She’s back from her current holiday on Saturday, so I’ll probably spend an exciting monday morning hauling it out again.
