Hello, hopefully some of you lovely people can help!
I have a samsung no frost fridge freezer model : RL33SBNS1/XEU.
Recently, there has been a slab of ice forming in the bottom of the freezer, which eventually leaks out the door seal and melts on the kitchen floor. I have cleared the ice, but it forms again a few days later. Research has suggested the drain might be blocked, but I’m not sure where to find it! I’ve removed the drawers and the panel from the back of the freezer, but it looks like the ice is forming from a small rectangular gap below the fan. I don’t want to take it apart any further, as I’m not sure I won’t do more harm than good! Will defrosting it fully be a good start, and then see if it happens again?
Above the compressor tray is the drain from the freezer and on the end of it is a rubber non return valve.
If you defrost it it may clear the valve if the problem returns in a few weeks you need to find the valve by feeling above the compressor tray and pull it off the drain.
