    Hi

I have recently bought a Samsung RSH1DBBP Fridge Freezer (for £250) from the Regional Repair Center

I was led to believe it was in full working order, (just a little dented along the sides)

After having in plumbed in I have noticed that the ice maker doesn’t produce ice automatically

Water fills the ice tray and once frozen as I understand it a sensor underneath the ice tray should make the ice tray rotate and the ice should then fall into the ice collector

Unfortunately the only way I can get ice into the ice collector is by pushing the reset/test button underneath

(This results in the ice tray rotating a little over 90 degrees, the right hand side twists down first, (it doesn’t go down in parallel))

I had an engineer round from the place where I bought the freezer from who replaced this part DA97-07621B EVAP

Despite dropping the temperature of the freezer to -25 still no ice is automatically produced

The Engineer also re-gassed the compressor

Any ideas as to why the Ice Maker doesn’t work? and what parts I need to get it working again?

    Okay update

The freezer is now intermittently defrosting

That indicates the Ice Tray sensor right?

    Hi Lee,

    Thanks for your answer

Any idea what PCB I require as they seem a tad expensive (approx £90)
