    Candy GOC218 condenser drier. 3110021308279585.

This drier appears to work perfectly; heats and tumbles fine. But some time into the cycle it just stops with just the timer motor running. Neither the motor or heater work at this point. Open the door and the timer stops running, close again and press start button the timer motor restarts. Water chamber is empty, no ’empty water’ light showing………
Tested stats and fitted new capacitor to motor; tried a new timer unit and still it stops with the timer ticking and nothing else.
    What am I missing?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve.

It could be the relay unit (91201247) playing up maybe?

Thanks Martin – but would the timer motor still run? It stops when you open the door and starts when the door is closed and start button pressed……..weird!
If the PCB is working the timer motor it’s working….?

    Thanks for the reply,

    Steve.

Weird indeed Steve especially so because, and according to the wiring diagram, the door switch cuts off the neutral return to the entire machine. So for the timer motor to continue to run could mean and earthed return was at large somewhere?

    Hi Martin,

Don’t suppose you could mail me a copy of that diagram could you? :innocent:

    Cheers,

    Steve.
