My Diplomat ADP 8132 stopped filling and washing a little while ago. Acting on the advice of a Diplomat service technician I replaced the airbreak.

However, the machine is still not working. Here are the fault symptoms:

The machine makes up to four attempts at loading water but interrupts fill cycle every time and discharges.

After fifth try machine starts washing cycle which is then terminated prematurely after about 2- 3 minutes whenn machine beeps, discharges and displays fault code E2.

Any advice as to possible source of fault is much appreciated. Could this be a faulty pressure switch or control PCB (in which case I’d probably be better off financially buying a new machine?).

    Thanks very much in advance

this sound like the filler has definitley been choked when you changed the filler it is essential that the largest tube out of the four is cleaned of sludge and that the non return valve inside the sump assy is free, the filler comes in a kit form for early models if this is the case it is important to fit all parts p-switch and anti-flood device.

    Re: DIPLOMAT ADP 8132

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I have now got to the root of the problem. This may be helpful to others who experience similar problems.

The level pressure switch had slipped out of its retainer lugs on the airbreak which resulted in a poor seal between the switch nozzle and the gasket in the airbreak. This in turn allowed pressure to bleed off as the machine attempted to fill, preventing the pressure switch from activating.

It is possible that replacing the airbreak with a new one helped matters. However, I am satisfied that the primary cause was the dislocated pressure switch.
