hi we have an Indesit IWDD7143 Washer Dryer that has been tripping the rcd As soon as you plug it in. I think that I’ve narrowed it down to a pcb fault but would like to know if there is anything else i can try just to make sure.

    what i have done is,

changed the fuse in the plug & Changed the plug.

tested each of the components doing this:

    1 reset rcd
2 disconnect all wires from 1 component
    3 plug washing machine in
4 if rcd trips unplug washing machine
    5 reconnect component
    6 Repeat

and the only time the rcd did not trip was when i unplugged the PCB.

would i be right in thinking that the PCB is what’s causing the Problem?

Thanks For Any help of assistance 🙂

    i doubt it

if its an RCD thats tripping its sensing an earth fault. since the pcb is encased in plastic its not possible to touch earth

most likely components to blow rcd are heaters and motor. check mains suprredor first. where flex come it disconnect internal wires and plug in to see if it trips. also try another socket or plug something else into the machines socket. long shot i know but have heard of engineers going round in circles with faulty sockets
