I have a samsung no frost fridge freezer model : RL33SBNS1/XEU

I keep having the problem of a slab of ice forming at the bottom of the freezer. I’ve tried removing the non return valve on the drain pipe above the compressor, and fully deiced it, but the problem still remains. I guess the drain is blocked, but I can’t seem to find a drain hole in the fridge anywhere! Can anyone help? I’m not sure what to do next!

    Many thanks 🙂

Re: Can’t find the fridge drain!

The drain is behind the rear panel in the freezer, You may not have defrosted it enough.

The drain runs through the insulation so can take up to 48 hours to defrost unless you dismantle the rear panel and use a steamer.

The best way to defrost it is to get someone to look after your food and turn it off for 48 hours and leave the doors open.

The drain ices because the NRV above the compressor can stick then the water can not run away and freezes in the drain.
